We require a dynamic person to undertake the management of programs and activities related to arts and cultural development in the City of Yarra. You will be responsible for supporting the unit across the key program areas of Cultural Festivals and Events, Art in Public Places and Community Cultural Development.

Team Leader Statutory Compliance - Building

An exciting opportunity exists for professional development at the City of Yarra. The role you fulfil will include the following objectives
• Provide leadership and direction to the Statutory Compliance Team. To achieve compliance with the Building Act, Building Regulations and other relevant legislation within approved processes and procedures.
• Be a key person in leading prosecutions that relate to Building legislation.
• To effect compliance with relevant statutes to ensure that building works within the municipality provide an acceptable level of health, safety, amenity and sustainability.
• Communicate effectively and provide accurate information to management and stakeholders in a manner that promotes the image and reputation of the City of Yarra.
• Develop the capacity of staff to grow and improve.
• Actively assist the Council objective of community safety and health and enforce standards within the built and natural environments.
You will have experience in Local Government enforcement and investigations and knowledge of the Victorian Court system.
